Most people wish on stars, right? Not me, I wish on passing hay trucks (what's a hay truck, you ask...it's a truck carrying bails of hay). See, when I was a kid, my mother would always tell me if I wished on a passing hay truck, my wishes would come true. Have my wishes come true? Some, but most wish requests have not. But, still, to this day, I wish on passing hay trucks.
Where is all this wishin' going? Well, for a longtime I have been thinking about displaying my art work. I've been thinking about submitting photos to magazines for publishing. I have been wishin that I would have enough courage to move beyond the walls of my own house. That's been my wish. Now I'm doing it.
Am I an artist? No, but I play one on t.v. Just kidding. I'm not a trained artist. I went to college, but did not study art. I own a cheap digital camera and equally cheap art supplies. I work in fits and spurts on my pieces. I am constantly re-doing what I've done. I'm no artist. So, why am I posting my work for my family and friends to see? Because, I can. Because, I'm proud of what I created. Because....well, why the heck not?
